Welcome to! Down to Earth Talk About Web Solutions and Will Static or Dynamic Drive Your Website.
You need a website whose purpose is to provide helpful information to a specific audience about bird watching, a hobby you have for years. No products will be sold and the only way information will change is you change it. There are basically two main types of website – static and dynamic. Let’s discuss both.
Static Websites
To start, a static website content is loaded from a file, like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images. The site delivered the same information to the user browser because the content of a static site does not change.
Static sites are excellent for personal or corporate blogs, landing pages, portfolio, and informational websites.
Advantages are as follows:
- Quick to develop.
- Cheaper to host.
- Easier for search engines to index.
- Speed and flexibility.
- More secure because there is no server code running on the back-end.
Static sites requires web development expertise to update the content.
Dynamic Websites
Dynamic websites contain Web pages that are generated in real-time using scripting languages such PHP or ASP that allows the users to interact with the site and generate content that’s applicable to them.
Dynamic websites are also known as database-driven websites. They are easier to maintain using a content management system (CMS) such as wordpress, but can be expensive setting up, maintaining, and scaling a database.
If your site’s purpose is to be informational only, it’s probably a good fit for a static site.
